It is my great pleasure to announce that after an extensive recruitment and interview process, we have selected Scott Farkas, CPA, as Baptist Retirement Home’s new Chief Financial Officer. Scott comes to us with 12 years of senior living financial experience, most recently serving as Controller for Givens Estates Inc., a CARF-CCAC accredited life plan community that also offers home care, clinic and pharmacy services to over 700 residents in Asheville, North Carolina. In his current role, Scott oversees corporate accounting and supports multiple Givens Communities locations, including Givens Estates, Givens Gerber Park, and Givens Great Laurels.
After multiple interviews, including a full day where several members of the BRH leadership team and board met a select group of finalist candidates, Scott emerged as an individual that we collectively agreed will make an outstanding contribution to our organization. I want to thank those who contributed their efforts to the interview and selection process, and encourage all of you to join me in my enthusiasm for welcoming Scott, his wife Jessica, and their two young children to Baptist Retirement Homes effective January 4, 2021.
