Exceptional Care

ThriveMore is a corporation made up of two Life Plan Communities offering the full continuum of care, one community offering assisted living and skilled nursing, and a free-standing assisted living community. Our beautiful communities include independent living, assisted living, memory care, and medical and nursing care.

Independent Living

Independent living offers the benefits of living independently with two great advantages. First, we take care of home maintenance while residents pursue an independent and engaged, purposeful life. Second, residents enjoy priority access to on-site healthcare, including assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the history of ThriveMore?
Founded in 1951, ThriveMore, formerly known as Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, is one of North Carolina’s most respected providers of long-term care. With four long-term care facilities located throughout the state, ThriveMore provides all levels of care for older adults, including special programs for seniors with dementia-related disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. ThriveMore is a not-for-profit, church-related organization that has a historical relationship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
What is the meaning behind the new name and brand?
“Thrive” evokes the ideas of flourishing, of growing, prospering and succeeding. It implies a healthy body, mind and spirit. ThriveMore conveys the idea of elevating your lifestyle to the next level, to discovering your full potential, to truly living your best life. The name also has potential to benefit staff recruitment and retention, as the organization can build programs and campaigns around team members “thriving more” at ThriveMore Communities. In the tag line, “faith” and “family” communicate two elements the task force felt were important to include in the overall brand, while “fulfillment” reflects what an individual can achieve when moving into a ThrirveMore community.
What is the cost of services? Are financial resources available for those who cannot pay?

Fees vary according to communities and the level of care chosen or required by residents. A full schedule of fees for each facility is available upon request. There are no entrance fees associated with any of the health-related areas at the Brookridge and Western North Carolina communities and Taylor House. Taylor House is one of the few not-for-profit, church-related, long-term care communities in North Carolina with no financial requirements for admission. Contributions received from churches and individuals via the North Carolina Offering for Older Adults, in addition to direct contributions from local churches, are used exclusively to help the communities provide care for those older adults with little or no financial resources in either assisted living or nursing care at the Brookridge and Western North Carolina communities and Taylor House.
