ThriveMore is proud to announce its official participation in the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses®, a prestigious national program that celebrates the clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion nurses bring to their work every day. This distinguished recognition reflects ThriveMore’s deep appreciation for the essential role nurses play in delivering exceptional care to residents and their families.
The DAISY Award, which was established in memory of J.Patrick Barnes, was inspired by his family’s experience with the incredible skill, kindness, and dedication of nurses during a time of critical illness. The award has since grown into a global movement, highlighting the powerful impact of nursing professionals who often work behind the scenes without public recognition.
Beginning in 2025, ThriveMore will present the DAISY Award annually in May. While the award will be announced each spring going forward, the inaugural 2025 winner will be named in September. In anticipation of this milestone, ThriveMore is currently collecting nominations from residents, their family members, and colleagues through August 15, 2025.
This program provides an opportunity for the entire ThriveMore community to recognize the nurses who bring knowledge, compassion, and humanity to every interaction. It also aligns with the organization’s broader commitment to cultivating a culture of respect, gratitude, and professional excellence.
Participation in the DAISY Award program signals more than a new recognition initiative—it reflects ThriveMore’s belief in celebrating the extraordinary work nurses do each day. Whether advocating for a resident, comforting a family member, or mentoring a peer, the nurses at ThriveMore embody the very purpose of the DAISY Award.
