ThriveMore Features on Winston-Salem's JoyFM

Recently, Stephanie Shaffer, ThriveMore's Faith and Community Engagement Manager, sat down with Wendy Bundy for the Community Matters segment on JoyFM. Through the segment, Shaffer was able to highlight the important work that the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation does for our mission and our community.

Over the last 25 years, the Foundation has worked hard to enhance the lives of those who live and work in our communities across North Carolina. At this time, we are accepting gifts in the following impact areas:

• Benevolence Fund - gifts to this fund directly impact residents who are facing financial hardship, allowing them to receive the same high quality care through end of life.
• Medicine From the Heart - gifts to this fund help offset the cost of prescription medicines that may be beyond their needs.
• Immeasurably More - this campaign is currently raising funds for memory support efforts across our communities, including North Carolina's first-ever Green House home and residences that provide support to caregiving spouses when their partner has a memory care diagnosis.

These main areas of giving do not include the employee hardship fund or the recent campaign to raise funds for staff members displaced by Hurricane Helene in September 2024. We are proud of the work and the mission of the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation and their commitment to our continued drive to provide the best possible care to seniors, and their care providers, across North Carolina.
