As it continues to show its commitment to the health and wellness of its residents, Baptist Homes of North Carolina has joined forces with Comprehensive Rehab Consultants (CRC) and added a physiatry position at its Life Plan Community in Winston-Salem, Brookridge.

Brookridge works to enhance care offerings through its partnership with CRC. These expanded services provide an environment that cuts down the time and cost to rehabilitate.

Their physiatrists use cutting-edge as well as time-tested treatments to maximize function and quality of life, making them invaluable additions to the Brookridge care team.

“We are always interested in finding partnerships that make sense and enhance the health and wellness offerings at our communities,” said Reed VanderSlik, president and CEO of Baptrist Retirement Homes of North Carolina. “This latest one with CRC will continue to make Brookridge a top Life Plan Community in the Triad.”

Brookridge offers a number of preventative health services. The community also provides different levels of nursing and assisted living care, so that if you become ill or need to rehabilitate after a surgery, acute injury or an illness, you will receive the appropriate care based on your needs.

The therapists and physicians at Brookridge work with CRC clinicians to improve therapy treatment plans by adding in a layer of clinical oversight and capabilities that are designed with the goal of returning individuals to their previous level of wellness. CRC are advocates of patient autonomy and getting the residents as independent and functional as possible.
