Inviting old and new friends alike to consider Brookridge Retirement Community is definitely saying “Welcome home,” as the lovely 46-acre wooded campus has enormous appeal on many levels, including freedom, security, and lifelong care.

Convenient to the entire Triad area for friends and family to visit often, the real ambiance of Brookridge is a perfect blend of comfort, respect, and community, always dedicated to the very best in senior care. A non-profit, faith-based community, this is a shining example of true compassion – from memory care to independent living – by a skilled, personal staff boasting a 70-year legacy of excellence.

The lovely wooded setting is enormously popular with residents, and Jennifer Bartscht, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, shares details of an overall improvement plan designed to enhance other areas of the community as well. Always growing and innovating, the Brookridge goal is maintaining a lifestyle as close to what residents previously enjoyed before making the move here.

Scheduled to be completed in two phases – with each phase lasting about four months – the upcoming improvement plan to the common areas of apartment buildings will begin in January 2022, as well as improvements to the common space in the independent living entry way, the dining area, and the library. Long-term investments to the main building – with its sloping chapel roof and stately floor-to-ceiling glass – will include furniture, art, and decorative lighting. Improvements to Garden Home and Apartments has been underway for the last year-and-a-half, and include stylish details such as more variety in open floor plans, new cabinets, granite countertops, new flooring and carpet, fresh paint and new window treatments.

“We’re also working with a landscape architect to develop more options for choices of how yards in the garden homes will be finished,” says Jennifer. “Enhancements have also been introduced to freshen the entrance to our community and to maintain the beautiful wooded area throughout the entire Brookridge campus.”

Building new friendships is always encouraged at Brookridge, and the bond between residents of all ages and backgrounds is strong. Engaging with each other – and with staff members – through popular activities including biking, walking and jogging on picturesque trails around the community, gardening, crafts, day trips to local points of interest, and an exceptional pool and fitness area, is the perfect chance for residents to relax and rejuvenate their spirits. Full-service amenities and maintenance-free living are the icing on the cake for residents of the garden homes and apartments, and both are suitable for either individuals or couples.

But always behind every improvement and interaction at Brookridge is their repertoire of unmistakable core values, including honesty, fairness, compassion, dependability, cooperation, humor, kindness, loyalty, patience and conscientiousness. Choosing a home at this beautiful retirement community means living the senior life you deserve!
