Working together to promote senior living careers and opportunities, Arbor Acres, Brookridge Retirement Community and Salemtowne created a marketing campaign to showcase how vital careers in senior living are today and every day.

The CEOs at each entity collaborated to produce a video showcasing their team members at each of the three Winston-Salem communities offering them a chance to say why they chose senior living and how rewarding they find their roles working in senior living. The group also created a dedicated website for this campaign. You may visit it here: rewardingcareers.org

The video highlights how senior living community careers provide stable and meaningful careers. They create an atmosphere that is safe and healthy. “Our work is more than the care we provide. It is putting a smile on someone’s face and creating a sense of family.”

The older population is an important one to the greater Winston-Salem community and we are always glad to partner with other senior living communities to ensure we highlight the important role seniors play in our community, said Reed VanderSlik, president and CEO of Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, which is the parent company of Brookridge Retirement Community.

“We would like people to know these senior living communities are not just great places for seniors to live but also provide great places to work. Careers in healthcare and at not-for-profit senior living organizations are rewarding and provide many opportunities,” VanderSlik said.

Some of the reasons Brookridge, Arbor Acres and Salemtowne team members cited for loving what they do each day included: “The work with seniors is rewarding, fulfilling, makes me proud, makes me feel like I am part of a family, is a privilege.”

The bottom line of the campaign: Join our team and help change lives one day at a time.
